Sound familiar?

Willpower isn't the problem. Your environment is.

  • "I'll just check one thing quickly."

The tab is open before the thought finishes forming. Forty minutes later you're somewhere completely different and your flow is gone for the morning.

  • You've tried blockers. You turned them off.

The moment one got between you and something you legitimately needed, you made an exception. One exception becomes the rule. The tool becomes useless.

  • You decided to just be more disciplined.

It worked for a day. Maybe two. Willpower is finite — it runs out before lunch. Every decision not to open Reddit is one you didn't spend building something.

The fix isn't more discipline. It's removing the choice.

When distraction isn't an option, you don't have to fight it.

Simple setup

How it works

Three steps from intention to enforcement. No daily renegotiation with yourself.

  1. 1

    Define your focus rules

Build focus modes, block or allow sites by domain, path, or exact URL, and set AI guidance for ambiguous pages. All from the dashboard.

  2. 2

    Install the extension

Connect your browser. SnapFocus enforces your rules in real time, synced to your schedules and commitment sessions.

  3. 3

    Stay locked in

Cloud sync keeps every device aligned. During a focus window, distractions stay out of reach until you choose to end it.

Why SnapFocus

Blocking that respects real work

Flexible where you need it. Strict where you don't. The features that make it work for real work.

Rule priority — Deep Work

BLOCKyoutube.comdomain
except
ALLOWyoutube.com/c/fireshipchannel
except
ALLOWyoutube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQurl

Most specific rule always wins

01

Block the noise. Keep your tools.

Most blockers force you to choose: block a site entirely, or don't. SnapFocus lets you block the whole domain and then carve out exactly what you need — by subdomain, section, or exact URL. The most specific rule always wins.

  • Block youtube.com, allow a specific channel or playlist
  • Block reddit.com, allow r/programming
  • Scope rules to a single focus mode or apply them everywhere

02

Rules that hold when you're weakest.

Schedules and commitment sessions can be locked — so even if you try to edit or end them mid-window, you can't. Your morning-self set the rules. SnapFocus enforces them when your afternoon-self would rather not.

  • Recurring schedules that lock once they go active
  • Ad hoc commitment sessions — lock in for the next 90 minutes, right now
  • No exceptions or overrides until the window ends

03

Not everything fits a blocklist.

Is a YouTube channel about your tech stack work or distraction? Is a Medium article research or a rabbit hole? It depends on the day, the project, the mode. You write guidance in plain language. AI reads the page and decides before it loads.

  • Write guidance per mode: "allow programming articles, block everything else"
  • AI classifies each page against your rules in real time
  • Context-aware — not a static block list from 2019

04

Set it once. Works everywhere.

Your rules live in your account, not your browser profile. Install the extension on any machine and your focus modes, schedules, and block rules are already there. Start a session on one device and it's active on all of them.

  • Real-time sync across every browser and device
  • Rules survive a new machine or a fresh browser install
  • One account, consistent enforcement everywhere

The outcome

What changes when focus is structural

Not motivation. Not a productivity system. Just a browser that stops working against you.

Day 1Quick win

A session that actually holds.

No mid-session drift. No tab you didn't mean to open. You finish what you planned to work on.

Week 2Compound

You're shipping consistently.

Not because you got better at discipline. Because the environment changed. Your output compounds without the heroic effort.

Month 1Advantage

People notice you deliver.

Clients, collaborators, yourself. The reputation of someone who actually finishes things — and the confidence that comes with it.

Ongoing10×

Focus stops being a daily fight.

It becomes structural. Imagine what you'd build if this was just how every workday went.

FAQ

Common questions

Everything you'd want to know before signing up.

Which browsers does SnapFocus support?

SnapFocus supports Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Brave, and Edge. If you use a Chromium-based browser not on that list, reach out — we track demand.

Can I override a block during an active session?

No — that's the point. Commitment sessions and locked schedules can't be relaxed mid-window. You set the rules when you're thinking clearly; SnapFocus enforces them when you're not.

Is my browsing data private?

Yes. The extension matches URLs against your rules locally. For AI classification, only the content of the page being classified is sent — no browsing history, no cross-site tracking, ever.

How does AI classification work?

When a page doesn't match any of your block or allow rules, SnapFocus can use AI to decide. You write per-mode guidance (e.g. "allow programming articles, block anything social") and the AI applies it to the current page — not a static list someone else maintains.

What's the difference between a schedule and a commitment session?

Schedules are recurring — set a mode to activate every weekday from 9–12, for example. Commitment sessions are ad hoc: lock in for the next 90 minutes, right now. Both enforce the same rules; the difference is planned vs. on-demand.

Does it work across multiple devices?

Yes. Your focus modes, schedules, and block rules are stored in your account and synced in real time. Every browser you install the extension on stays in sync automatically.

What does SnapFocus cost?

SnapFocus Pro is $8/month or $69/year (save 28%). Full access to every feature from day one — no crippled free tier, no feature locks.
